Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – During the Holy Week and Easter holidays, Puerto Vallarta’s City Hall will continue to provide key services to residents and visitors, with only a brief pause on Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18. The city government, led by Mayor Luis Munguía, is committed to ensuring the well-being of the community and supporting the tourism sector throughout this important vacation period.
Departments vital to public safety, such as Civil Protection and Firefighters, Citizen Security, and Public Services, will maintain their regular schedules. This ensures that the city remains safe, clean, and welcoming during one of the busiest times of the year.
Frontline offices like the Civil Registry and Treasury will have staff on-call at both the municipal offices and the Municipal Administrative Unit (UMA). This ensures that residents can still access important services for urgent matters throughout the holiday period.
While the General Secretariat will pause its operations during the break, it is scheduled to resume full activities on Monday, April 28.
In line with its year-round commitment, SEAPAL Vallarta will continue its operations, supporting both the local population and the tourism industry. Most customer service offices and payment locations – such as those in Lázaro Cárdenas, El Pitillal Centro, Ixtapa Centro, and Coapinole – will remain open with regular hours, except for April 17 and 18.
SEAPAL’s Operations Director, Alejandro Padilla Viorato, confirmed that 24-hour crews will be on standby to handle water and sewage emergencies, including large pipe issues and street repairs. He noted that preventive maintenance over the past month has helped reduce the risk of sewage overflows, an important step as demand for water and sanitation peaks during the holidays.
Special teams in Drinking Water Production, Sanitation, and Water Quality will also remain active across all shifts to keep vital services running smoothly.
Through careful planning and a strong work ethic, both City Hall and SEAPAL Vallarta continue to put the needs of the community first, making sure Puerto Vallarta remains a safe and enjoyable destination for everyone this Easter holiday season.
