Puerto Vallarta Captivates Travelers in Canada’s Capital

Puerto Vallarta made a strong impression in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, during a series of promotional events held from April 11 to 13. The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust partnered with the Mexican Embassy in Canada to showcase the destination’s rich culture, natural beauty, and growing connectivity to Canadian travelers.

The three-day visit began at the Mexican Embassy with the “Experience Mexico: A Land of Culture, Beauty, and Adventure” seminar. Around 45 travel advisors and influencers attended the event, where they learned about Puerto Vallarta’s stunning landscapes, hotel zones, year-round events, and world-class cuisine. With nearly 2,000 restaurants offering 40 international cuisines, the city’s culinary scene stands out as one of the most diverse in Mexico.

Travel connections were also a focus, with special attention given to direct winter flights from Ottawa via Sunwing Airlines, and year-round service from Montreal with Air Canada and Air Transat – convenient options for Canadian travelers seeking a sunny getaway.

Following the seminar, Puerto Vallarta took part in the Ottawa Travel & Vacation Show on April 12 and 13, held at the Rogers Centre Ottawa. With more than 15,400 attendees and over 200 global exhibitors, the event offered a prime platform to inspire future visitors. A dedicated presentation during the show highlighted the destination’s top attractions, including the iconic Los Arcos de Mismaloya Marine Park and the record-setting Jorullo Bridge.

Representatives from several Puerto Vallarta hotels also joined the promotional efforts, including Buenaventura Grand, Villa Premiere, Velas Vallarta, Casa Velas, and more. Their presence gave visitors a closer look at the range of accommodations available – from family-friendly resorts to luxury boutique hotels.

Ottawa, known for its high standard of living and international influence, presents a valuable market for tourism. With its educated population, growing tech industry, and strong travel interest, the city offers great potential for destinations like Puerto Vallarta. These promotional efforts are part of a broader strategy to attract more Canadian visitors, especially ahead of the summer season.

With its lush jungles, Pacific coastline, and welcoming community, Puerto Vallarta continues to shine as one of Mexico’s top destinations – offering a perfect blend of tradition, adventure, and modern comfort.
