Puerto Vallarta is gearing up to host over 400 top CrossFit athletes from across Mexico for the seventh edition of “The Beginning” competition, scheduled for November 15 and 16.
This high-energy event has become the city’s largest CrossFit competition and continues to grow each year. Athletes will travel from Guadalajara, Tepic, Mexico City, Pachuca, Michoacán, and other cities to take part in the action.
Event organizer Rodrigo Meza announced that this year’s edition will offer categories for both individuals and pairs. Teams will compete in Beginner, Intermediate, and the Master +40 categories, with divisions for both men and women. Individual competitors will face off in Advanced and Free categories.

Puerto Vallarta Sports Councilor Erika Yesenia Rubio noted that the event brings more than athletic competition – it also promotes the city as a destination for sports tourism and boosts the local economy.
William Arredondo, director of Puerto Vallarta’s Municipal Sports Council (COMUDE), emphasized that the local government, led by Luis Munguía, is fully supporting the event with logistics, promotion, and safety planning to ensure a successful weekend for athletes and spectators alike.
With strong community backing and national attention, “The Beginning” promises another exciting chapter in Puerto Vallarta’s growing sports scene.
