Mayor and SEAPAL Boost Water Services with New ATVs and Tanks

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In their continuing efforts to enhance public services, Mayor Luis Munguía and the General Director of the local water utility, SEAPAL Vallarta, Carlos Ruiz, recently presided over a key event in the Ixtapa district. The gathering marked a welcome investment aimed at improving the daily operations that serve the residents of Puerto Vallarta.

The highlight of the event was the official delivery of 30 new All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). These rugged vehicles are specifically designated to bolster the fieldwork of SEAPAL’s commercial areas, providing staff with the modern tools necessary to navigate the municipality and optimize service to citizens.

Carlos Ruiz, the head of SEAPAL Vallarta, expressed his deep appreciation for the fleet modernization, noting it will directly contribute to faster, more effective maintenance and responsiveness. This upgrade demonstrates a clear focus on enabling SEAPAL personnel to perform their duties with greater efficiency for the public’s benefit.

During the event, Mayor Munguía shared exciting news regarding the local water infrastructure. He announced that the re-drilling of Well 1 Ixtapa will soon be completed and inaugurated. This project is poised to give the important Ixtapa area autonomy in water supply, which is a major victory in the ongoing effort to achieve water stability across the entire municipality.

Alongside the equipment delivery, the popular PURA Tinacos program continued its impactful work. At the Ixtapa event, 100 free water storage units were provided to local families. Director Ruiz highlighted the logic of the program: while SEAPAL actively works to ensure greater water availability, temporary interruptions can occur due to external factors like power outages or repairs to the system. By having stored water, families are shielded from these temporary inconveniences, ensuring they have a consistent supply for their basic needs.

These coordinated actions by the utility and the municipal government underscore a shared commitment to the people of Puerto Vallarta. They are simultaneously investing in the tools that improve staff performance and strengthening social programs that directly address the essential needs of local families, laying a solid foundation for a more secure and stable future.
