Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Banderas Bay community is preparing to welcome the New Year with a powerful harmony of music and philanthropy. On January 11, the Vallarta Symphony Orchestra and Choir Ensemble will take the stage at the elegant St. Regis Punta Mita Resort for “Symphony for the Animals: Prevention is Compassion.”
This special performance serves as a cornerstone fundraiser for SayulitAnimals and PEACEAnimals, two dedicated nonprofits working tirelessly to improve the lives of animals throughout the region.
The importance of this collaboration lies in its proactive approach to animal welfare. Together, these organizations facilitate nearly 9,000 sterilizations annually through high-impact clinics. By providing these services free of charge, they address the root causes of animal suffering – reducing the spread of disease, preventing abandonment, and breaking the cycle of unwanted litters that can overwhelm local families and rescue resources.
Supporters of the event understand that a single surgery does more than help one animal; it fosters a healthier, more sustainable future for the entire community.
Guests will be treated to an inspiring repertoire led by the charismatic conductor Aquiles Morales. The program features the seasonal beauty of Vivaldi’s Winter alongside Ariel Ramírez’s Navidad Nuestra, offering a sophisticated auditory experience within a stunning Mexican-inspired setting.
The afternoon begins at 1:30 pm when doors open for a social hour, followed by the concert at 3:00 pm. Attendees can also participate in a silent auction, with general admission tickets priced at $50 USD and VIP seating available for $100 USD. Both tiers include a welcome beverage and select canapés to enjoy before the music begins.
The experience extends beyond the final notes of the orchestra, as the St. Regis invites guests to linger and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Those who wish to complete their evening can opt for dinner at one of the resort’s premier venues: The St. Regis Bar, Mita Mary, or Sea Breeze.
The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is located at Lote H-4 Carretera Federal 200, Km 19.5, Corral del Risco, Nayarit. For those traveling to the resort, the most direct access is through the gate located near the OXXO in Punta Mita. Guests should ensure they have their ticket vouchers ready for entry, though a guest list will be maintained at the gate for those who may have misplaced theirs.
With limited seating available, early registration is encouraged to ensure a place at this intersection of world-class music and meaningful action. Tickets are currently available for purchase at givebutter.com.

Sayulitanimals opened its doors February 28, 2009, in response to the overwhelming need for intervention on the part of unwanted street animals. The organization is based on four key programs with the mission to reduce the population of unwanted dogs and cats, prevent animal suffering and cruelty that comes with overpopulation, as well as to make Sayulita a healthier place for the animals and the community.
