Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Let’s celebrate 2020 in STYLE! The venue has changed, the event has expanded, yet the focus of the Annual Alexander Charity Fashion Show remains the same: support those in need, and raise money in a fun, uplifting way!
Alexander Daoud, owner of Alexander A Salon in Plaza Marina, is hosting his third charity event at the CasaMagna Marriott Resort & Spa to support Aid to Families of Children with Cancer on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
The expert blonde colorist and make-up artist will delight attendees of this luncheon with a fashion show extravaganza, featuring professional and expat models wearing designs by Gerardo Copado, and delicious jeweled treasures by NICE! Additionally, two lucky participants will be selected for glamor makeovers!
Doors open at 12:30 pm, and a four-course luncheon will be served, followed by the fabulous Fashion Show at 1:00 pm. Tickets for the event cost $500 pesos and may be purchased at Alexander A Salon.
In 2019, Alex raised $100,000 pesos for Mamás Unidas por la Rehabilitacíon de sus Hijos, better known as Pasitos de Luz. His 2020 fundraising goal is $150,000.00 pesos to support Families of Children with Cancer in Puerto Vallarta. This is one of the programs of the Puerto Vallarta Rotary Club Sur, under the direction of Mrs. Aurora de la Torre.
The purpose of this program is to help children with cancer and their families get through the tough times they face, by raising money to buy food and to help cover the costs of education, as well as traveling expenses to the cancer treatment center in Guadalajara on a monthly basis.
The yearly budget varies depending on how many children travel to the capital city for medical assistance. The monthly grocery budget ranges between $35,000 and $50,000 pesos and covers essential meals and medications.
Additionally, the charity provides between $35,000 and $45,000 pesos per month for treatments and medicine when hospitals are unable to provide, or insurance does not cover. Hurry and get your tickets; seating is limited to 300, and we want YOU to be part of this memorable event!
