Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – As a result of an unexpected boon in tourism to Puerto Vallarta this summer, for the first time in its 8-year history, Act2PV has extended some of its most popular shows into the summer season and is adding 5 new shows in May!
It seems that because people have been stuck at home for the past 14 months, now they can’t wait to get away! They’ve got their vaccinations and feel comfortable about travelling, but where are they going to go? With many tourist destinations closed around the world – Europe, Asia, and South America are still closed down – and cruise ships non-operational, many people have chosen Puerto Vallarta as one of the best and SAFEST choices for that long-awaited vacation!
Yes, the Covid-19 numbers are way down here, and most people are following government protocols by social distancing and wearing masks. Hotels, restaurants and most businesses are open, but with limited capacity, and following strict protocols, as well.
Act2PV is no exception. As the #1 entertainment venue in Vallarta (and #3 on the TripAdvisor list of “Things to Do in Vallarta”), Act2PV is very proud of its new OUTDOOR theater, The Starlight Cabaret, which was built last summer at the height of the pandemic. The government allowed it to open because of its strict adherence to protocols, and people love it! They feel safe because it is outdoors and operating at a 40% capacity, tables for 2-4 people are 6-10′ apart, and masks must be worn.
Audience members can order dinner from the sushi bar right below the theater, with food delivered to your table during the show, and there is a full-bar available for drinks! Act2PV has also implemented extra safety measures in its Main Stage theater, including installing ozone purifiers, ozone disinfectors, air purifiers and HEPA filters. From start to finish, the entire experience of live theater at Act2PV is carefully designed to protect its entertainers, its staff, and its customers.
Act2PV is looking for back-up singers, dancers, actors, and new shows for the 2021/2022 season! A general audition was held last week, and there is some promising new talent in town; however, if you couldn’t make it to the audition, but would like to be a part of the Act2PV entertainment scene, send an email to info(at)act2pv.com and we will set up a special audition time for you.
The Greatest Show on Earth, now featured in Act2PV’s OUTDOOR Starlight Cabaret, has rolled out a whole new style of entertainment, and it’s definitely a HIT (as evidenced by its FULL AUDIENCES every week)! Inspired by the Don Comalon restaurant in Colima, on Wednesday nights, people can see a FREE SHOW which features performances by many of its amazing entertainers. Sometimes they sing songs from their shows, but very often, they “go rogue” with new show ideas, and they can also sing songs that they love!
FREE FOOD is served, starting with fresh hot chips and bean dip when you walk in the door. Each time a drink is ordered, more food is brought out, such as tacos con carne molida, deep-fried potato tacos, chicken flautas and guacamole tostadas! The more you drink, the more you eat! Everyone loves this new concept, the show is entertaining, and the food is outstanding! The new show time is Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
