Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Last week, Act2PV announced the November 16 Grand Opening of their brand-new open-air Starlight Cabaret. This week, the largest entertainment venue in Puerto Vallarta gives us a look at some of the spectacular shows they’ll be presenting during the 2020-2021 season.
But first, a note from Act2PV Founding Partner, Danny Mininni:
Hi Everybody!
What a week this has been! I must correct the verbiage I’ve been using when talking about the new Starlight Cabaret. I have called it a rooftop theater, but the space is actually a commercially built, and permitted, 3rd level with 4 rentable commercial spaces. The developer has been trying for years to attract a sky bar or dance club to rent it. Thankfully, that has not happened. I made the mistake of calling it a “roof,” and I understand how that could imply that it’s not safe. I remember when I was 8 years old and fell off the garage roof. Not good.
So to put your mind at ease, we do have a provisional permission to use the space during the pandemic. For those worried about noise, I promise you we will be extremely respectful about noise. Shows begin at 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with everything ending at 10:30 pm. Based on the testing that we are doing, we don’t believe that anyone will hear the outdoor music. We will have concurrent shows on our large main stage inside, so we can’t drown out those shows either. We also will be strictly following current Covid protocols, including taking temperatures and hand gel prior to entrance, mandatory masks, limited capacity and required social distanced seating.
I hope that clears things up. Please do me a favor… if you are ever concerned or disturbed by anything, PLEASE let me know. I want to be a good neighbor, and I want to provide high quality, safe entertainment to Puerto Vallarta! What we are doing is so much better than a noisy sky bar. I live across the street and my bedroom faces the 3rd level. I don’t want a sky bar above us or on my block. OMG I remember when Wings Army (on the ground level) had Rock bands late at night. URGGGGGG I promise I WILL NOT do that to you. YOUR WELL-BEING IS OUR #1 PRIORITY.

The 2020-2021 entertainment season will kick off on Monday, November 16 at 6:00 pm with a HUGE Opening Night Extravaganza as Act2PV celebrates the opening of its brand-new third floor/open-air Starlight Cabaret, and the premiere of, Reflections, a musical tribute to The Supremes, The Andrews Sisters, The Pointers, the Dream Girls and so much more!
All attendees will be treated to a three-course Italian meal, inspired by the fabulous cuisine of Sorrento, Italy, and prepared by Act2PV co-owner/founding partner Danny Mininni, and a wonderful pre-show featuring a peek at many of this year’s shows, including Diana Villamonte, Vallarta’s #1 songstress, singing a song from her upcoming show, Diana Sings Ross, a Linda Ronstadt tribute featuring Brenda singing a song from her upcoming show, a sneak peek of this year‘s highly anticipated show, Hello Barbra/Hello Bette, Elvis Young & Sexy star, Marc Lopez, singing a song from his hit show, Crooners, plus a sneak peek at the amazing World Champion Pole Dancer/singer/actor Steven Retchless’s new show, Limitless!
Opening Night tickets are now available at act2pv.com and at the box office, which is open on Friday and Saturday from 12:00-6:00 pm. The box office will be closed this Sunday, but starting Monday, the 16th, the box office will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Get your ticket TODAY as seating is limited.
