Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Mother Nature decided to crash the Amapas Neighborhood Association’s cleanup party this month, so they’re switching gears from street sweeping to tech collecting! The amazing ANA volunteers are taking their superhero powers indoors for a special Digital Dumpster mission.
PLOT TWIST: July 12th becomes E-Waste Adventure Day!
Instead of dodging raindrops on the streets, let’s tackle those digital dust bunnies hiding in your closets! You know the ones – that graveyard of tangled cables that multiply overnight, the smartphone that took one too many pool selfies, the laptop sporting that artistic coffee stain from 2019, and cameras that have seen better Instagram days.
MISSION: TECH RESCUE OPERATION
Round up anything with a heartbeat (battery) and a brain (chip):
- Zombie phones and their cable offspring
- Caffeinated laptops and their power-hungry cousins
- Printers plotting their next paper jam
- Monitors dreaming of better screen times
- Mystery gadgets you forgot you owned
DROP-OFF HEADQUARTERS:
ANA (office) Command Center, 115 Hortensias, Colonia Amapas
Monday, July 14th & Tuesday, July 15th
10AM – 1PM (Perfect excuse to avoid the midday heat!)
Can’t make the trek? ANA’s tech rescue squad will come to you! Just send an SOS to volunteer(at)amapaspv.com
STORM PREP FUND ACTIVATED!
While the focus on e-waste remains, the arrival of the rainy season brings a shift in priorities. ANA is currently crowdfunding to acquire essential storm-fighting equipment to handle whatever weather throws our way. Every peso contributed helps the organization remain prepared for any surprises Mother Nature may have in store. Because sometimes the best cleanup happens when you’re staying dry!
