Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is preparing to welcome an exciting new attraction that blends culinary excellence with coastal leisure. As part of a strategic development, the National Port System Administration (Asipona) is moving forward with plans to construct an innovative gastronomic corridor and beach club.
This exciting project, backed by an estimated investment of 50 million pesos, aims to further enhance the city’s appeal to both domestic and international visitors, as well as its residents.
The initiative stems from a comprehensive market study designed to identify business opportunities that align perfectly with Puerto Vallarta’s renowned tourism identity. The goal is to provide a wider array of leisure and recreation options, drawing in more people eager to experience the region’s charm.
This new venture seeks to elevate the local tourism experience by offering a dedicated space where guests and locals alike can savor the rich flavors of Mexican cuisine and enjoy the area’s natural beauty. The plan includes the design, construction, equipping, operation, and maintenance of five distinct restaurants. These establishments will specialize in showcasing diverse Mexican dishes, representing the culinary traditions of various regions across the country.
The chosen location for this exciting development is an 11,301-square-meter area within the port area, directly facing Banderas Bay in the rocky area south of the terminal. Adjacent to the dining area, a beach club will offer a laid-back coastal atmosphere with lounge chairs, tables, and a swimming pool, where guests can enjoy meals and drinks with a panoramic ocean view.
There is already considerable interest from the restaurant sector, with companies reportedly eager to secure a space within this promising new development. The bidding process for the project is tentatively set to launch this October, pending the final determination of its feasibility.
Asipona is collaborating closely with the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism to ensure the successful implementation of this attractive project. This joint effort underscores a shared commitment to expanding Puerto Vallarta’s appeal and supporting its ongoing growth as a premier destination on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
