November 15 Update: Great news! Oliver and Fenwick, the last of Maria O’Connor’s cats have been adopted together. Now we need Airline Angels to get them to their forever homes in Sacramento. If you or someone you know is traveling to Sacramento this month or any time in December or early January, please contact Marilyn Khan at exkhan(at)usfamily.net. All expenses related to the flight will be paid by PuRR Project.
Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – It is always a tragedy to lose a light in the community but adding to that challenging time is the rehoming of that person’s pets. Marie O’Connor left us too soon.
She had nine cats, but through the outpouring of love and compassion from friends, co-workers and neighbors, seven have found forever homes. This has been remarkable.
The two spoiled cats that are still available for adoption are a bit more on the shy side, but warm up nicely once they get to know you better. Both are fully vetted and sterilized. They are used to having a stable home, of course with other cats, and they don’t seem to mind dogs too much.
Oliver is around five years old. He is super friendly and loves belly rubs. He is still playful and can be a bit mischievous at times. He likes long naps in the shade and is good natured.
Fenwick is a young 3-4 years old and can be won over pretty easily. He likes feather toys and a can of stinky tuna. Once he is comfortable he’s affectionate and loves attention.
The boys are used to other animals, both dogs and cats. They just need someone to love them and fill the holes in their hearts left by their beloved Mamá Maria’s sudden and unexpected passing.
If you have room in your home and your heart, please consider adopting one or both of these cuties.
