Lo de Marcos, Nayarit, Mexico – Local chefs will Turn Up the Heat in Lo de Marcos on Sunday, March 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off. Come on out and enjoy chili, live music, children’s entertainment and more to help cover the cost of classes for locals who wish to learn English.
This FUNdraising event will be held in the lovely courtyard at Luis Echeverria #9, just east of the town plaza, the same location that hosts the Tianguis Lo De Marcos every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Bring your taste buds, and prepare to cast your vote for the BEST CHILI in town. Plus, the popular Chili Pepper Eating Contest that last year captivated everyone’s attention is on again, so make plans now to come enjoy a fun filled afternoon in Lo de Marcos as the community comes together for a good cause.
Supported by Armando Contreras and his team at Galvan Real Estate and Services as a benefit event, the purpose of the Lo de Marcos Chili Cook-off is to raise funds for locals who wish to enroll at the CIENI school and learn English as a second language.
Event Tickets are available in advance at the Galvan Real Estate offices in Los Ayala and Lo de Marcos for just 50 pesos, or at the door for 80 pesos. Children under 5 get in free.
