Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – On December 19 and 20 from 12:00 to 6:00 pm, Biblioteca Los Mangos Centro Cultural will host the second edition of ConComics Puerto Vallarta 2020, a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention similar to Comic-Con events in the United States, but on a smaller scale.
One of the most important Pop Culture events in Latin America, ConComics is the place for lovers of Comics, Animation and Science Fiction to gather together and enjoy concerts and presentations by national and international actors, along with conferences and Cosplay, music & dance competitions.
This year’s event will welcome celebrity guests, including:
Mario Castañeda, is a Mexican actor, dubbing director and broadcaster, who is best-known for his role as the adult Son Goku in the Dragon Ball franchise. Mario is also the voice of various characters in television shows and animated series such as “Kevin Arnold” in the popular series The Wonder Years, “Kanon of Geminis” in The Knights of the Zodiac, “Zapp Brannigan” in Futurama, “Don Ramón” and “Ñoño” in El Chavo, the animated series, and “Bruce Banner” the “Hulk” and “Professor Hulk” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has also lent his voice to many Hollywood stars, like Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey, Mark Ruffalo and Tom Hanks among others, in American movies and television shows dubbed into Spanish.
Adrián Barba, is a Mexican singer who is best-known for having performed songs in Spanish for Disney animated films such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 and Tarzan II, and musical dubbing in several anime series such as Dragon Ball Z and Slam Dunk. Currently, Adrián is dedicated to recording covers where he adapts Japanese songs from different series, mainly from the entire Dragon Ball franchise (Z, Kai, GT, Super), and making celebrity appearances at various conventions, where he entertains attendees with his splendid voice.
In addition, ConComics Puerto Vallarta 2020 will have a gaming area; an “Artists Alley,” where you can meet independent comic artists and buy their works; and all kinds of contests, along with concerts and many other surprises.
