Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – US citizens living abroad maintain the right to vote, a cornerstone of American democracy. Participation in the voting process is vital for upholding democratic principles. Registering to vote ensures a diversity of voices and opinions are represented, strengthening the nation.
However, many eligible voters in Mexico are unaware of their voting rights, leading them to miss out on the registration process. Vote From Abroad provides a non-partisan online platform to assist citizens in utilizing the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) for voter registration and ballot requests, as required by Federal law.
For those needing assistance with registration or updates, volunteers from the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico will be available at Hotel Mercurio in Puerto Vallarta on Wednesdays, May 8th and 22nd, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Their guidance will help US citizens living abroad navigate the process of requesting their ballot using the FPCA form.
It’s essential to remember that the primary season continues until August, and every vote couts. US citizens abroad should take advantage of the opportunity to participate in shaping their country’s future by ensuring they are registered and able to vote.
