Puerto Vallarta is gearing up to host the Third Annual Rainbow Race on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This highly anticipated event, a celebration of diversity and inclusion, invites people from all walks of life to join a morning of positive energy, fitness, and collective joy.
The race will kick off promptly at 8:00 am on Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio. The event’s inspiring motto, “Be free, express yourself with love,” encourages participants of all orientations and identities to step out and enjoy the experience.
A Race for Everyone
The Rainbow Race is an open invitation to the general public, welcoming runners, joggers, and walkers aged 18 and over. Participants can choose between two accessible options: a 2-kilometer route or a more challenging 5-kilometer course. To ensure fairness and representation, the race includes distinct categories for men, women, and non-binary participants. In a truly inclusive spirit, the event is also pet-friendly, allowing animal companions to join the fun.

The race is thoughtfully designed, beginning and ending at the esplanade of the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Unit, offering a picturesque and engaging route through the city. Organizers have set a cap of 1,300 participants to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Supporting the Community
Beyond the finish line, the event serves a larger purpose. For this third edition, the Rainbow Race is collaborating with civil associations and community-based organizations within the LGBTQ+ community of Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding region. The race, supported by socially responsible companies, will direct its efforts toward beneficial projects that uplift and assist the community.
Registration is 395 pesos (approximately $21 USD) and can be completed easily online. Every participant who signs up will receive a comprehensive runner’s kit filled with gifts from sponsors, a handsome commemorative medal, a personalized finish-line photo to capture their achievement, and free water to stay refreshed along the course.
