Guadalajara Prepares for a Week of Inclusive Pride Celebrations

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico – Guadalajara, a city celebrated as the birthplace of mariachi, tequila, and charrería, is once again preparing to welcome visitors from around the world for its renowned Pride festival. Known as a leading destination for inclusive travel, Guadalajara is set to host an impressive calendar of events from June 7 to June 14, 2025, showcasing its commitment to equality and its flourishing community of LGBTQ+ owned businesses.

The Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to share details of the city’s most anticipated celebrations, promising a week filled with joy and unity.

Guadalajara Pride 2025 will feature two significant parades, each with its own unique focus. The festivities begin on Saturday, June 7, with the Marcha del Orgullo. This march will commence at 3 pm from the iconic statue of La Minerva, moving through the city under the inspiring theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Dreams.” This year’s focus emphasizes accessibility and inclusion for LGBTQ+ individuals with disabilities, underscoring the Capital City’s dedication to ensuring everyone feels welcome.

The official Guadalajara Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 14, starting at 3:00 pm. This special edition of the march will originate at Andador Alcalde in downtown and will culminate at the majestic Minerva roundabout around 10:00 pm. For the first time, this year’s parade is designed as a sunset celebration, promising a truly memorable experience. Attendees can anticipate an incredible concert and delightful surprises along the route, with opportunities to enjoy the evening at the Pride Fair located in the Arcos Minerva parks.

Between these two grand parades, a full week of enriching cultural programming will unfold across the city. This diverse schedule includes captivating art exhibitions, thought-provoking film screenings, engaging panel discussions, and exciting nightlife events. A highlight of the week is the Marica Festival, running from June 13-14 at the Roxy Room. This festival will feature live music and other exciting performances, bringing together the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in a joyful celebration.

Guadalajara’s rise as a premier destination for inclusive travel is supported by progressive policies and national recognition. The state of Jalisco has implemented anti-discrimination protections and recognized marriage equality, creating a truly welcoming environment. In 2018, the state further solidified its commitment by introducing the role of Director of Sexual Diversity, offering additional support to LGBTQ+ residents and visitors.

With continued backing at national levels and strong community leadership, Guadalajara continues to attract travelers seeking both rich cultural experiences and genuine inclusion.
