Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Nearly 24,000 people were vaccinated with first, second and third doses of AstraZeneca during the three day vaccination clinic that took place in Puerto Vallarta on January 13, 14 & 17th, according to Dr. Jaime Alvarez Zayas, director of the Eighth Health Region.
It is worth mentioning that the AstraZeneca vaccination clinics were extended to Monday due to the large numbers of people who showed up to be vaccinated at both the Naval Hospital and La Lija on Thursday and Friday.
In this sense, Alvarez Zayas indicated that they applied close to 24 thousand vaccines, leaving about two thousand doses, which will be kept, possibly to be applied as the booster shot for people between 50 and 59 years of age (at a later date to be announced).
Also, people who have problems with their vaccination certificate are reminded that they can go to Casa de Día in La Aurora, Ejido de Las Juntas, or to the “attention module” in La Lija, which has just been set up, to solve the problem and register them in the platform.
In addition, it can be done through the portal cvcovid.salud.gob.mx or via WhatsApp to Dr. Armando Vaccuno (561-713-0557). It is a requirement to be previously registered at mivacuna.salud.gob.mx, if you have not yet registered, it is important that you have an email address and cell phone.
