Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta (IAMPV) is opening new doors for musicians and music lovers alike. On Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 pm, the institute will host an informational session featuring live music to introduce its academic programs at its new headquarters, located at Flamingos 127 in Los Sauces.
This modern facility provides expanded space for classes, rehearsals, and performances, establishing a central hub for music education in Puerto Vallarta. It reflects IAMPV’s commitment to nurturing talent and enriching the city’s growing cultural scene.
As the only institute in Puerto Vallarta offering a comprehensive professional music training program, IAMPV continues to raise the bar. Its curriculum now includes a new Mariachi Specialization alongside its classical studies. The program is divided into two levels: a three-year propaedeutic stage that builds practical and theoretical foundations, followed by a four-year professional track that achieves standards comparable to Mexico’s top conservatories.
For those looking for flexibility, IAMPV also offers individual and group classes in a wide range of instruments and theory courses, including piano, guitar, violin, cello, trumpet, percussion, and both classical and mariachi singing. All of these classes are taught by Puerto Vallarta’s leading professional musicians.
Beyond the classroom, IAMPV offers students a crucial connection to the professional music world. The Institute serves as a direct pathway for aspiring musicians to gain invaluable stage experience and build professional networks through performances with the renowned Vallarta Symphony Orchestra and the popular Salty Paws Jazz Orchestra.
Music enthusiasts should also mark their calendars for November 1 and 2, when the Vallarta Symphony Orchestra will present Ein neuer Morgen (“A New Morning”), a concert celebrating German Romantic music under the direction of Maestro Aquiles Morales. These events promise an evening filled with emotion and symphonic beauty. Click HERE for more information.
