San Pancho, Nayarit, is set to host the 9th Entreamigos Environmental Fair: De las raíces al cielo, a day dedicated to enriching understanding of the natural world and promoting a sustainable lifestyle. On April 9th, from 9 am to 2 pm, Plaza del Sol will transform into a hub of learning and engagement, welcoming individuals from Bahía de Banderas, Puerto Vallarta, Tepic, Zacatecas, and even San Diego, California.
This year’s fair promises a rich tapestry of experiences designed to educate and inspire. Attendees will encounter a diverse array of workshops, exhibits, and interactive activities, all centered on fostering environmental awareness and improving quality of life. Organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and community groups will converge to share their expertise on pressing environmental issues.
The program includes insightful talks and hands-on workshops addressing critical topics like the significance of native trees, the detrimental effects of plastic pollution, the imperative of wildlife conservation, and the crucial role of bees in pollination. Interactive spaces will feature captivating exhibits, such as fossil and natural stone crafts, engaging biodiversity games, an environmental lottery, and stimulating science demonstrations for children, alongside displays of sustainable biotechnologies, including bicycle-powered machines.
Furthermore, attendees will gain valuable knowledge about sea turtle and crocodile care, coral reef restoration efforts, jaguar conservation initiatives, and wildlife monitoring practices. They will also have the opportunity to delve into the rich biodiversity of the Marietas Islands National Park and the Sierra de Vallejo – Ameca River Biosphere Reserve. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the fair will showcase Polynesian dance performances, live musical acts, puppet theater, and an exhibition and sale of sustainably crafted and artisanal products.

Located at Av. Tercer Mundo No. 12 in San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico, Entreamigos is an active community center whose primary focus is to increase educational opportunities for the children of San Pancho.
