• From August 2020 to January 2022, the entity has contributed 9.4 percent of the jobs generated nationwide
Jalisco’s business sector demonstrated its commitment and trust in the entity by generating 11,160 formal jobs during January, double the 5,605 jobs created on average during this month over the last 11 years.
Of the total number of jobs generated in the first month of 2022, 5,110 correspond to permanent jobs and 6,050 to temporary employment.
During the economic recovery period, that is, from August 2020 to January 2022, 118,524 formal jobs have been generated in Jalisco.
The state has contributed 9.4 percent of the 1,266,467 jobs recovered during this period at the national level.
At the national level, 142,271 formal jobs were generated in January, with Sinaloa being the entity with the highest generation with 21,248 jobs, followed by Baja California with 20,404 jobs; Chihuahua with 15,092 jobs and Nuevo León with 14,832 new jobs.
