Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Jay Sadler Project A.C. Toys for Tots program in mid-January 2023 successfully distributed over 4,000 toys to various Kindergartens from Lo de Marcos, San Sebastian, Cabo Corrientes, and one boat leaving from Boca de Tomatlan to Quimixto and finally Puerto Vallarta.
Thanks to the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, Vista Vallarta Golf Club, the Puerto Vallarta Chili Cook-Off, private donations, and Peter Vine of Fishing Vallarta.
Toy Distribution was prepared and distributed with the help of many volunteers – Friends, Family, Nacho Daddy, Widows & Sons and the International Friendship Club, and our Distribution Committee Donna Wong, Linda Vasquez, and Laura Torres.
Toys For Tots Vallarta once again made the dreams of many local children come true.
Our mantra: “No child should be forgotten by the three kings during the Christmas holidays.”
Celebrated annually in January, Three Kings Day is a celebration that commemorates the Biblical story of the three kings who followed the star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child. According to the story, the Three Kings – Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar – presented the Baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Traditionally in Mexico, Three Kings Day is the gift-giving time, rather than Christmas day.
Toys for Tots worldwide was founded in 1947 by the United States Marine Corps in California to help address the tough times associated with the post-war chaos of Europe and elsewhere around the globe.
The Jay Sadler Project A.C. provides necessary resources to improve various institutions in the Banderas Bay area.
