Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Keith Tynes is best known as a member of the famous R&B group, The Platters. He joined the group in his late teens and performed with them for almost 5 years as their tenor, crooning favorite songs like The Platters’ classic, Only You.
Back by popular demand, Keith is performing a weekly show at ACT2PV this season. On Sundays at 5:00 pm, make sure to catch his amazing show, The Platters: Yesterday and Today. You’ll hear the songs and fascinating stories of Keith’s career with the internationally known singing group, The Platters.
Over the years, Keith has met and performed with many of the “greats” in the music biz. You’ll enjoy seeing pictures of Keith and many of these well-known entertainers in background videos as he performs throughout the evening. He has had a long and successful musical career and his voice is as fine now as it was when he started.
Keith Tynes has spent the last 20 years living and performing in Europe, including Holland and Berlin, Germany. And for the past 6 winters, Keith has also performed at various entertainment venues in and around Puerto Vallarta. Last night we saw the opening of Keith Tynes II new show. We’ve been fans of Keith’s since he began performing in Vallarta 4-5 years ago. But THIS SHOW is his absolute best! Omg – we were so entranced – from his opening song to his final “otra” song – which had the audience on their feet for a lengthy and well-deserved standing ovation. It’s a few Platters songs, but it’s also some Broadway, some gospel and even some opera numbers. Adding live piano accompaniment by multi-talented musical director David Maiocco gave this production a true New York cabaret feeling elevating each song to a new level for Keith.
