Puerto Vallarta continues to foster community spirit through athletics as local residents prepare for a pair of volleyball tournaments tonight, Monday, January 12. Hosted at the Las Palmas multi-purpose courts, the event offers a dedicated space for both women and men to showcase their skills and enjoy a night of healthy competition.
The evening begins with the women’s division, which is scheduled to run from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. This tournament follows a third-division format and welcomes players of all ages. Teams are expected to consist of 10 members, providing an excellent opportunity for friends and neighbors to organize and participate in a structured, energetic environment.
As the women’s matches conclude, the spotlight shifts to the men’s tournament, which will occupy the courts from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. This late-evening session ensures that the sports venue remains a hub of activity well into the night, catering to various schedules and encouraging a broad range of participation across the district.
These athletic gatherings are made possible through the efforts of the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Sports Council (COMUDE) under the administration of Luis Munguía González. By organizing such events, the local government aims to make physical activity a primary point of connection for residents, strengthening the social fabric of the city through teamwork and shared goals.
Teams interested in joining the competition are encouraged to register promptly by calling 322-158-6452. To finalize the process, participants must present a valid official identification. This invitation remains open to all Vallarta residents who wish to embrace an active lifestyle and contribute to the growing sports culture in Las Palmas.
