Puerto Vallarta is gearing up for the return of a local favorite, the Art & Market on the Marina Vallarta Malecón. This popular night market, which draws visitors and locals alike, is set to kick off its new season on Thursday, October 30th, just in time for the upcoming winter tourist season.
Antonio García López, manager of the Residents Association, reported that preparations are in full swing for the event, which runs through May 2026. The market has grown in popularity over the years and is considered a key attraction for the city.
The market, which stretches for a mile along the marina, will host nearly 200 vendors this season. Shoppers will find a wide variety of locally made products, including traditional crafts, home décor, and fine art. The market also offers a taste of Mexico with local wines, tequilas, and other spirits, as well as fresh, organic produce and delicious international cuisine. For those looking for a perfect souvenir, vendors will be selling artisan jewelry, textiles, and beachwear.
More than just a market, the event is a full sensory experience. Delicious food and drinks, live music, and stunning views of the marina and its famous sunsets all contribute to the festive atmosphere. According to García López, the market will also celebrate holidays throughout the season, offering unique products for special occasions like Day of the Dead, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Three Kings Day, and Valentine’s Day.
“The Art & Market not only promotes Puerto Vallarta as a destination, it also gives local artisans and producers an opportunity to showcase their work,” said García López. He added that the opening marks the start of Puerto Vallarta’s high season, with strong expectations for another successful edition.
The Art & Market will be open every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, beginning October 30th and running until the second Thursday of May 2026.
Registration for vendors opens in late September, with priority given to returning participants. New exhibitors may apply starting October 15, ensuring a fresh mix of local talent and flavors for the months ahead.
