New Beach Club Transforms Playa Palmares in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta marked an exciting new chapter on Saturday, August 23, with the opening of its first public beach club at Playa Palmares. Mayor Luis Munguía led the inauguration of Tuki Playa Palmares, part of the Nuestro Puerto Renace (Our Port Reborn) program, which is dedicated to keeping beaches clean, certified, and accessible for residents and visitors.

The new facility introduces a wide range of amenities designed to enhance the beach experience. Guests will find restrooms, showers, and accessible ramps for people with disabilities, along with a lifeguard tower, improved lighting, benches, landscaping, and a parking area. These additions set a new standard for public beaches in the city, aligning them with international destinations.

“This is the demonstration, and the beginning, of the fact that we can make our beaches world-class,” said Mayor Munguía during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The opening also reflects the city’s broader vision of creating inviting public spaces that support both tourism and community life.

The grand opening coincided with the Pal’mares Beach & Boat Festival, drawing hundreds of families for a day of music, food, and celebration by the sea. Performances by Betoko, Malán García, and Sachary Olea energized the crowd, while DJs filled the stage with electronic beats. Food and beverage stands, along with a free shuttle service from the Malecón Lighthouse, ensured the event was welcoming to all ages.

Tuki Playa Palmares is the first of five planned public beach clubs in Puerto Vallarta. Two more are scheduled to open before Easter 2026 at Playa Camarones and Playa Holi, reinforcing the city’s commitment to safe, accessible, and enjoyable recreational spaces.

With this project, Puerto Vallarta continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination that values inclusivity, community, and quality experiences for everyone who visits its shores.
