New Series ‘Mujeres Valientes’ Kicks Off Filming in Jalisco

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico – Jalisco’s film industry is set for a major boost with the start of production on “Mujeres Valientes” (Brave Women), a 50-episode series filmed across the state. This project, a collaboration between Prismáticos and Corazón Films, marks a significant investment of 50 million pesos and is expected to generate over 500 jobs.

The series will tell both real and fictional stories of women who overcome challenges and achieve success, celebrating their strength and empowerment. From urban settings to rural landscapes, each episode will present a unique world united by a central theme: feminine power.

The production will travel to all of Jalisco’s Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns), showcasing their unique beauty and culture. Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro shared his enthusiasm, stating the project aligns with the state’s growing awareness of women’s rights and their importance.

Beyond its powerful narrative, Mujeres Valientes is set to have a substantial economic impact. The production will hire local services for lodging, transportation, food, security, and location rentals, providing a significant boost to local communities and businesses.

Mauro Garza Marín, Strategic General Coordinator for Economic Growth and Development, highlighted how these types of productions create jobs and economic benefits while also showcasing the state’s most precious asset- its beauty.

“It’s through these types of exhibitions that we can showcase and project ourselves to the world,” he said. Actress Susana Zabaleta echoed this sentiment, noting that companies like Corazón Films choosing Jalisco translates directly into industry growth.

The filming of Mujeres Valientes further solidifies Jalisco’s reputation as a top destination for film and television production in Latin America. The state’s ongoing efforts, including improved regulations, the new Filming Law, and a Cash Rebate trust, have made it an attractive location for large-scale projects.

This series is a prime example of how Jalisco is leading the way in audiovisual production and job creation, while also promoting its rich cultural and tourism offerings to a global audience.
