Helping others remains a hallmark of U.S. citizens living in Mexico. That’s why No Way Jose! will be celebrating U.S. Independence Day by hosting a 4th of July FUNdraiser for the Vallarta Food Bank (VFB).
The Vallarta Food Bank dedicates its efforts to fighting hunger in Puerto Vallarta. Born from the urgent needs arising from the COVID pandemic in 2020, the VFB continues its fight against hunger and needs all of us to join them in that fight. We cannot say it better than a recent donor, who shared:
“So many who visit or live in Vallarta think of it as “paradise.” [However], it’s not paradise for those who are hungry. If you’ve been able to afford to visit Vallarta and take advantage of all it has to offer, please find a way to give back here.”
The Vallarta Food Bank continues to expand as volunteers work to try to make a positive change in the community that goes beyond feeding Puerto Vallarta families struggling to survive the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. They now offer baby diapers & formula, adult diapers, medicines and supplies, dog food & other necessities, along with education and employment opportunities to those in need. They started a soup kitchen that operates 5 days a week in August 2020, and have since served over 76,000 hot meals.
With so many people still out of work, or struggling to catch up after such a difficult year, the Vallarta Food Bank needs your help. Without your support, feeding those in need becomes an even more challenging task. You are crucial to Vallarta Food Bank’s mission: no one goes hungry.
