Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The popular Olas Altas Farmers’ Market is returning to Lázaro Cárdenas Park for its 16th season, starting Saturday, November 2. The market will be open every Saturday from 9:30 am to 2 pm throughout the season, offering a weekly gathering spot for both locals and visitors.
With around 100 vendors, the market showcases a diverse selection of locally made goods. Everything sold is produced by vendors living within 50 miles of Puerto Vallarta. From fresh farm-to-table produce to handmade artisan foods, the market is a feast for the senses. Shoppers can savor the aromas of freshly baked bread, ground coffee, and enjoy local specialties like meats, cheeses, and baked goods.
In addition to food, shoppers can browse an impressive assortment of handmade arts and crafts. Offerings range from custom bathing suits and sandals to jewelry, home accessories, and all-natural skincare products. Traditional Mexican musical instruments and hand-rolled cigars add to the market’s authentic atmosphere.
Services such as chiropractic care and professional massages are also available on-site. Nonprofit organizations set up booths to share information about local community efforts and upcoming events, adding a sense of community involvement to the experience.
The market’s food court is always a highlight, with an array of delicious dishes from various cuisines, including Mexican, Argentine, and East Indian. Tasty treats like ice cream and beverages are also available to enjoy.
The Olas Altas Farmers’ Market is located in Lazaro Cárdenas Park (kitty-corner from Daiquiri Dick’s at the corner of Carranza and Olas Altas). As visitors stroll through the park, they’re treated to the sight of beautiful mosaic artwork, a nod to the area’s rich culture.
