Over 100 Dogs and Cats Find Loving Homes in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is celebrating a major success in animal welfare, with over 100 dogs and cats already adopted into new families. This accomplishment highlights the city’s commitment to creating a more compassionate community, with a total of 70 dogs and 46 cats finding homes under Luis Munguía’s administration.

The Animal Welfare Department has been a driving force behind this positive change. Through regular adoption events and dedicated efforts, they’ve helped stray and abandoned animals move from shelters to loving homes.

A heartwarming example of this success came on July 30th at an adoption drive in the Plaza de Armas. Among the pets available for adoption was a six-month-old puppy named Nina, who was quickly adopted by a family eager to give her a fresh start.

While many pets have found homes, the Animal Control Center still has more than 70 dogs hoping for a family of their own. All of these animals are healthy, having been vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed or neutered. The Animal Welfare Department continues to advocate for adoption as a responsible way to fight overpopulation and improve the lives of both pets and the people who welcome them into their homes.

If you’re ready to make a difference, you can visit the Animal Control Center or call 322-102-7339.
