Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The PGA Tour has confirmed that the prestigious Mexico Open at Vidanta will once again grace its 2025 schedule. Set to take place February 17-23, this marks the fourth consecutive year that the tournament will be held in Puerto Vallarta, known for its unique blend of world-class golf, stunning scenery, and Mexican charm.
The Mexico Open, a national championship event, has steadily gained prominence since its inclusion on the PGA Tour in 2022. In 2023, Tony Finau won the Mexico Open. Last year, 29-year-old rookie sensation Jake Knapp secured his first PGA Tour victory at the Vidanta World course, adding to the tournament’s growing allure.
In addition to the competitive aspect, the Mexico Open offers a unique cultural experience for visitors. Puerto Vallarta is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and rich history. The city’s charming colonial architecture, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife create a truly unforgettable setting for the golf tournament.
The 2025 FedExCup schedule features a total of 36 regular season tournaments and three playoff events, taking place across 18 states in the United States, as well as Mexico, Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. The season’s highlight, The Players Championship, is scheduled to be played in Florida in March, while the four major championships will also be contested throughout the year.
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, emphasizing the positive impact of the recent schedule changes. “The stronger fields and increased opportunities for fans to witness top-tier competition have been instrumental in elevating the PGA Tour,” he stated. “We are committed to providing our players with the most rewarding and challenging experiences in the sport.”
The 2025 FedExCup Regular Season and Playoffs will be televised domestically on NBC/Golf Channel/Peacock, CBS/Paramount+ and PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, with SiriusXM handling live radio coverage. Internationally, PGA TOUR coverage is available in more than 200 countries and territories in 30 languages.
