Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – A new era of learning has dawned for thousands of elementary school students in Puerto Vallarta as the “The Government of Good” initiative successfully completed its second round of tablet deliveries last Friday. This landmark effort marks the first time in the city’s history that such widespread educational support has been provided, directly benefiting over 8,000 students across 60 public schools.
The ambitious project, championed by Mayor Luis Munguía, aims to fortify education and equip young learners with cutting-edge tools. Councilman Víctor Bernal Vargas praised the municipal government’s dedication, recognizing the distribution of these electronic devices as a significant accomplishment born from diligent effort.

“We are committed to education and to providing the necessary tools so that our students have better opportunities,” Bernal Vargas affirmed, highlighting the positive impact on the city’s youth.
Lucía Carmina Michel, the Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer, attended the ceremony on behalf of Mayor Luis Munguía. She spoke of the tablet distribution as a long-held dream of the mayor’s, now realized through careful and efficient resource management.
This extensive distribution, covering more than 8,000 students in its initial two phases, stands as a testament to the municipal government’s unwavering commitment to the educational advancement of its students. The widespread access to these innovative learning tools promises to open up new possibilities and foster a dynamic educational environment for the children of Puerto Vallarta.
