Puerto Vallarta Empowers Students with Tablet Distribution

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The future of education shone brighter for hundreds of elementary school students in Puerto Vallarta this week as the municipal government, under the leadership of Mayor Luis Munguía, resumed its tablet distribution program.

On Monday, July 7, an atmosphere of pure joy and anticipation filled the air as young learners received their new devices, a significant stride in bridging the digital divide.

This second phase of the Tu Educación Renace (“Your Education Reborn”) program kicked off at the La Lija Sports Complex, where nearly 6,000 tablets were given to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from 42 public schools across the city. The genuine excitement was evident on every student’s face, their smiles reflecting the promise of enhanced learning and a connected future.

Mayor Munguía emphasized the administration’s unwavering dedication to supporting educational growth through technology. “We are committed to empowering our children through programs that directly benefit their education,” he stated. “These tablets will undoubtedly be a valuable tool, enabling them to complete their homework and assignments more efficiently and effectively. This is a resource that will significantly aid their learning journey.”

The distribution effort continued on Tuesday, July 8, at the Ixtapa Dome, reaching students from schools including URB 1105 Solidaridad, URB 1145 Francisco Medina Ascencio, URB 1264 Benito Juarez, URB 1264 Amado Ruiz Sanchez, and URB 702 24 de Febrero. According to Jorge Durán, Deputy Director of Social Programs, more deliveries are planned for July 10 and 11, extending this educational opportunity to even more students throughout the municipality.

This ongoing initiative underscores Puerto Vallarta’s commitment to equipping its youth with the necessary tools for academic success, ensuring that every child has the chance to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
