Vallarta Enhances Security with New Police Units

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta Municipal Public Safety and Traffic Department has recently put more than 60 new vehicles into service to enhance security throughout the municipality.

These vehicles, acquired with funding from Fortamun (Fund for Strengthening Municipalities and Territorial Demarcations of the Federal District), include 30 pickup trucks for regular patrols, eight sedans, 10 ATVs, and 10 high-powered motorcycles. Additionally, 4 four-wheel-drive pickup trucks will support patrols in more remote areas of the city, allowing for quicker emergency response.

According to Commissioner Horacio Llanas Cuevas, the addition of these units has already improved emergency response times and increased the presence of security personnel throughout the municipality. He stated that this investment in equipment and personnel training demonstrates a commitment to making Puerto Vallarta a safer city, a goal supported by Mayor Luis Munguía.

For his part, Mayor Luis Munguía emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “The reinforcement of public security in the municipality reflects our unwavering commitment to making Puerto Vallarta one of the safest destinations in Mexico. We strive to ensure that visitors can fully enjoy their stay with complete peace of mind.”
