Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – In a recent interview with the El Informador newspaper, Puerto Vallarta Mayor Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez (a.k.a. ‘Profe Michel’) reported on the infrastructure works that will be carried out in the city with state and federal resources.
In the article, the Mayor highlighted the expansion of Mexico Avenue, a project to reduce flooding in the Ixtapa delegation, the construction of the overpass in the intersection of the Las Juntas delegation, the renovation of the “Luis Donaldo Colosio” bypass and the construction of a pier in Boca de Tomatlán.
The mayor pointed out that the works will have a positive impact and said that they will benefit thousands of Vallartenses and tourists.
“We must remember that the reconstruction of roads and bridges that were affected by hurricane ‘Nora’ last year is also being carried out… progress is being made in this work process in these streets and also on the walkways along the banks of the Rio Cuale.”
In addition to this, he pointed out that the paving of Las Palmas Avenue in the Parques Las Palmas neighborhood will be done, along with the paving and construction of the neighborhood park on Hermenegildo Galeana street in the Independencia neighborhood, the rehabilitation of the Los Muertos Pier, as well such as the renovation, construction of stands and roofing of the Olympic pool in the “Alfonso Díaz Santos” sports unit.
Other projects highlighted by the municipal president of Puerto Vallarta were the construction of a road before the overpass bridge at the Las Juntas intersection, as well as the protection works on the banks of the Pitillal and Cuale rivers.
“I also want to comment that work is being done on the paving of Federación Avenue, the construction of a channel to reduce flooding on Calle 16 de Septiembre in Pitillal, as well as the construction of the Los Tules vein linear park, the construction of a municipal park in La Laguna del Coapinole, the construction of a linear park on highway 544 and the construction of a house of culture, among other projects that promote development in this city,” Profe Michel said.
