Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – One of the best things about living in Puerto Vallarta is that it’s home to a wide variety of restaurants cooking up the world’s most sensational cuisines. No matter what you’re craving, you’re sure to find it here – even when eating out at your favorite restaurants is no longer an option.
Social distancing has unfortunately become the new norm in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, but staying at home and away from others doesn’t mean you have to go hungry.
We’ve put together a list of Puerto Vallarta restaurants – that are either open (following the strict health regulations and safety protocols set by state and local health authorities for your protection), or have closed their dining rooms but are now offering carryout and/or delivery service – that will come in handy when you get tired of eating home cooked meals.
The following information was deemed accurate at the time of publication but, in these uncertain times, it’s a good idea to check with each individual restaurant for the most up-to-date info on delivery schedules, hours of operation, and special offers.

This Italian restaurant and pizzeria located next door to the La Comer grocery store is not only offering more than 30 delicious dishes on their TO GO MENU for pick-up or delivery (Free for orders of $300 or more, *in certain areas*), but has also become a food collection center for COPARMEX Puerto Vallarta. The restaurant is closed, but they’re preparing vacuum-sealed dishes for takeout or delivery. Just throw them in the freezer and reheat when hungry. Café San Ángel • Olas Altas #449
Though the restaurant is open, following the strict sanitary protocols set by state and local health authorities for your protection, Café San Ángel is also offering home delivery from Buenaventura Hotel to Conchas Chinas and up the hills. The restaurant is open, following health and safety protocols. El Capitán has also prepared a special To-Go Menu, featuring your choice of several plates and an agua de sabor (fruit-flavored water) for just $95 pesos. To place your order, call 322-596-0187. Casa Karma Private Villa & Event Space recently introduced a tasty take out experience, called “Kitchen Capers by Casa Karma.” Now you can order fabulous food prepared daily using the highest quality ingredients. The menu at this beachfront restaurant is always evolving, and now they’ve added affordable breakfast, lunch and dinner packages for dine-in, take-out or home delivery. Every day from 1:00-9:00 pm, Derby City Burgers is serving up their creative 8 ounce burgers, fresh salads, wings, creamy milk shakes, hand-cut French fries and sweet potato fries, and more for carry out, delivery or seating at the restaurant (extra-clean, safely-spaced, outside tables only). The restaurant and music venue are closed, but they’re working on a limited “home delivery” menu and service they hope to have up and running by Thursday, March 26. Following strict health and safety protocols, the restaurant is open and serving more than 70 options for breakfast, along with a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and Mexican specialties from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm 7 days a week. The restaurant is closed but, thanks to their new take-out menu, you can order their delicious tapas and small plates, or Gernika Kit, (which start at $990 pesos and contain enough food to keep you fed for up to a week, along with instructions on how to freeze and reheat later) – for pick up or delivery (using your Speedy or Uber account) on Fridays. The restaurant is closed, but they’re offering a revised food menu as well as beer, wine, and soft drinks for takeout and delivery only from 2-9 pm daily. In addition to the beachfront restaurant being open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm every day, with all health protocols in place, La Palapa is now offering Delivery & Takeout! If you’d like to enjoy their famous tropical Mexican cuisine in the comfort of your own home, check out their new TO GO MENU, and order your favorite dishes and margaritas, even bottles of wine for pick-up or delivery. La Piazzetta is open Monday-Saturday from 12:00-10:00 acknowledging all the health and safety standards that the Jalisco government has mandated. They are now offering specially-priced meal packages that feed 1-2 and include: Salad, Antipasto, Pasta, Pizza or Chicken Parmesan for dine-in, take-out or home delivery. Though their stores are closed right now, Lix is offering home delivery of 21 flavors of artisan ice cream that’s handmade in small batches each week, plus ice cream sandwiches, snicker doodles and other frozen treats. The restaurant and brew pub are closed, but you can order their delicious pizzas, burgers, and just about everything else on their menu, for take-out, or delivery (minimum purchase $150, service charge $20), by calling 322-222-0308. Now serving Employee Meals: Each day the kitchen creates a dish to feed the Los Muertos Brewing employees, but now they’re offering those meals to everybody for just $100 pesos. All proceeds from the sale of these meals will help supplement their employees’ income, which has dramatically decreased since dine-in service was suspended by the lack of gratuities they’ve been earning.
