The city’s tourism promotional team recently took part in the Air Canada Vacations Dream Makers Road Show, an event that brings together travel agents and tourism groups from around the world. The event took place in Edmonton, with upcoming dates in Montreal and Toronto.
At the Edmonton event, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust highlighted the wide range of experiences available to travelers. Attendees learned about the city’s five hotel zones, which offer everything from small, intimate boutique hotels to large, all-inclusive beachfront resorts.
Attendees also learned about Puerto Vallarta’s attractions, from the scenic Malecón and lively Romantic Zone to seasonal humpback whale watching in Banderas Bay and outdoor adventures in the Sierra Madre mountains. These experiences highlight the destination’s unique mix of sun, beach, and culture.
A major focus of the presentation was the ease of travel from Canada. Puerto Vallarta has 17 direct flight routes from Canada, operated by six different airlines. Specifically for Edmonton residents, there are direct flights available on Sunwing, Westjet, and Flair Airlines.
This strong air connectivity makes Puerto Vallarta a top destination for Canadians visiting Mexico. In fact, Puerto Vallarta International Airport is the second most popular airport in the country for Canadian visitors.
