Puerto Vallarta to Deliver 25,000 School Supply Kits

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – With the new 2025–2026 school year just weeks away, the Puerto Vallarta municipal government, led by the Luis Munguía administration, is getting ready to deliver essential school supplies to students. This impressive effort, known as the Mi Educación Renace (“My Education Reborn”) program, will provide more than 25,000 students with much-needed educational resources.

The initiative is a collaborative success, with the Government of Jalisco and the Gobierno del Bien joining forces. The Puerto Vallarta city council is providing half of the supply packages, with the state government supplying the other half. This partnership highlights the shared commitment of both parties to supporting education and the well-being of local students.

The first phase of the program will cover preschool, elementary, and secondary students. These packages, which include school uniforms, a pair of shoes, and school supplies, are currently in storage and ready for distribution. According to Jorge Durán, Deputy Director of Programs, the supplies will be delivered during the first week of classes at 240 schools throughout the city. A second phase is planned for first-year students and is scheduled for the end of September.

To guarantee proper distribution, supplies will be given only to students who pre-registered. Oversight of the shipment and storage was carried out by Community Building Manager Ramón Chávez Lara, Quality of Life and Social Development Director Juan Diego López Coronado, and Durán himself. This thoughtful approach ensures that every child receives the support they need to succeed.

The Mi Educación Renace initiative is a testament to the municipal government’s dedication to student success and equal opportunity. By helping to ease the financial burden on parents, the Munguía administration is investing in the future of Puerto Vallarta’s youth, helping them start the school year with confidence and excitement.
