Puerto Vallarta Welcomes 21 Cruise Ship Arrivals in March

Puerto Vallarta is set for a bustling March, with 21 cruise ships scheduled to dock at its port, significantly surpassing last March’s total of 15, according to the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA). This includes five days of double arrivals on March 12, 13, 20, 22, and 25, promising a lively boost to the local economy.

Among the highlights is the arrival of the impressive Carnival Panorama on March 4 at 8:42 am, bringing around 4,000 passengers and 1,400 crew members. This ship will also return on the 13th and 25th. The Discovery Princess will make its visit on March 5, with returns on the 12th and 26th, while the Norwegian Bliss will dock on March 6 and return on the 12th, 20th, and 27th.

Other notable arrivals include the Navigator of the Sea on March 11, the Zaandam on the 19th and 29th, the Ruby Princess on the 13th, and the Grand Princess on the 20th. The Coral Princess and SeaBourn Odyssey will arrive on March 22, with the SeaBourn Odyssey returning on the 28th. Adding to the excitement, the Disney Wonder will make a special visit on Monday, March 24, and the Koningsdam will arrive on the 25th. Puerto Vallarta’s cruise season is expected to remain strong through April.

Adding to the allure of the port, the magnificent Attessa V, owned by tycoon Dennis Washington, continues to captivate onlookers. Since its arrival on February 18th, this 92-meter superyacht, valued at over $200 million, has become a prominent feature at dock 3.

Its presence, marked by its helicopter pad and luxurious marble and gold finishes, offers a glimpse into unparalleled maritime elegance. While undergoing maintenance and restocking, the Attessa V serves as a unique attraction, drawing attention to the port’s capacity to host such prestigious vessels. With amenities including a gym, spa, and multiple guest cabins, this yacht exemplifies the height of luxury.

The continued presence of the Attessa V, alongside the influx of cruise ships, underscores Puerto Vallarta’s growing reputation as a premier destination for both cruise and luxury yacht tourism, fostering economic benefits and enhancing the city’s appeal.
