Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Camarones Beach will once again fly the Blue Flag starting August 25, celebrating its renewed commitment to clean, safe, and sustainable shores. The return of this globally recognized eco-label highlights the city’s strong commitment to environmental excellence and well-maintained beaches.

Councilman Christian Omar Bravo Carbajal, who leads the City Council’s Clean, Free, and Certified Beaches committee, announced the achievement, noting the extensive work carried out by the municipal government to meet the demanding standards required for certification.
For several months, dedicated teams have been working tirelessly to ensure Camarones Beach meets all 33 strict criteria required for Blue Flag status. This effort, which began with detailed sampling and assessments, focused on four main areas: Environmental Education, Water Quality, Environmental Management, and Safety and Services.
The Blue Flag, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), is an internationally recognized symbol of excellence that assures visitors they are enjoying a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible beach. For Puerto Vallarta, this recognition highlights the city’s ongoing commitment to protecting its coastline while offering exceptional tourism experiences.
With the return of the Blue Flag, Camarones Beach stands as a proud example of Puerto Vallarta’s dedication to sustainability and to preserving its beaches for residents and visitors alike.
