Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – As July unfolds, Puerto Vallarta is set to welcome four international cruise ship arrivals, a slight uptick from June’s schedule. While this number is a modest figure compared to peak season, the city maintains its optimistic outlook, buoyed by strong performance in the first half of the year and the enduring allure of its coastal charm.
The primary reason for this temporary shift is the Carnival Panorama’s adjusted itinerary. This popular ship, which has been a frequent visitor, will call on Puerto Vallarta only twice this month during its four scheduled cruises from Long Beach, California. Instead, during its other weeks, it will focus on six-night cruises to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.

According to the local National Port System Administration (Asipona), the adjusted July schedule includes a double arrival on Tuesday, July 8th, with both the Carnival Panorama and the Navigator of the Seas gracing the port. Tuesday, July 15th, will see the arrival of only the Navigator of the Seas, and Tuesday, July 22nd, will welcome just the Carnival Panorama. The first week of July has no scheduled arrivals.
Despite the fewer ship visits, the impact of these magnificent vessels on the local economy is undeniable. The Carnival Panorama has recently brought nearly 5,000 passengers to our shores on its visits, and the Navigator of the Seas has carried close to 4,000. These arrivals represent a significant boost for many families in Vallarta who benefit from the tourism industry.
Looking back at the first half of 2025, Asipona Puerto Vallarta proudly reported that the city welcomed an impressive 265,098 cruise passengers aboard 93 cruise ships. This represents a positive increase of three more ships compared to the same period in 2024, highlighting Puerto Vallarta’s growing popularity as a premier cruise destination on the Pacific.
As Puerto Vallarta navigates this quieter period, the spirit of hospitality and the beauty of the region continue to shine, ready to welcome future cruise arrivals with open arms and the warm embrace of Mexican culture.
