PV Students Get a Boost in Emotional and Educational Development

Puerto Vallarta – In a major step toward supporting the city’s youth, the Municipal Government has launched a new program to help students grow both academically and emotionally. The “StartUp: Activate Your Ideas, Transform Your Life” initiative, led by Mayor Luis Munguía’s administration, aims to empower young people by nurturing their innovation and motivation.

The program, spearheaded by the Permanent Municipal Education Commission and its chairman, Councilman Víctor Bernal, is designed to give students practical tools for success. It focuses on developing key skills like critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and self-esteem, helping them navigate the personal, school, and social challenges of today.

A Comprehensive Approach to Education

The first group to benefit from this new initiative was the third-grade class at General 105 Rafael Ramírez Castañeda Secondary School. The program’s launch at the school’s morning and afternoon sessions highlighted the government’s commitment to a well-rounded education.

“We work on their education,” Councilman Bernal stated. “Through the municipal government, they’ve received uniforms, supplies, shoes, and electronic tablets to help them with their learning. But in these times when Artificial Intelligence is so important, we cannot forget about Emotional Intelligence, which must be equally relevant for the good of our students.”

The program’s focus on socio-emotional skills complements the traditional academic support the city already provides. The goal is to ensure students have the mental and emotional strength to succeed in all areas of their lives.

To celebrate their hard work, the students received a special recognition and a gift from Aquaventuras Park, a local company that partnered with the program to support youth well-being. This partnership showcases the community’s collective effort to invest in the next generation.
