SEAPAL Vallarta Drawing Contest

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – On July 23, as part of their continuing efforts to promote the responsible use and conservation of water, the Puerto Vallarta Drinking Water, Drainage and Sewer System (SEAPAL) launched the ‘Summer at Home, Caring for Water’ children’s drawing contest, which continues through August 7.

According to the head of SEAPAL’s Department of Water Culture, Fernanda García Rodríguez, children between 6 and 12 years old who currently live in Puerto Vallarta may participate in this free contest, which seeks to instill social values in new generations.

Contestants are encouraged to use their creativity to express the actions their families take to care for and conserve this vital resource through drawings in crayon, colored pencil, chalk or magic markers.

All drawings must be made on letter-sized paper, digitized by means of a photograph or a scanner, and sent to cultura(at)seapal.gob.mx by Friday, August 7, 2020. Be sure to include the title of the drawing, the child’s full name and age, and their parent or guardian’s name, address and telephone number.

The winners will be announced through the agency’s official Facebook and Twitter pages, and published on its website, on Thursday, August 13. The first three places will win a bicycle and their work will be part of the organism’s Culture of Water programs and campaigns.

For more information, please visit seapal.gob.mx, or contact SEAPAL’s Department of Water Culture at 322-226-9191 extensions 1158 and 1143.
