
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In honor of World Water Day, SEAPAL Vallarta celebrated the renewal of its Water Quality Certification, reaffirming its dedication to providing clean and safe drinking water. This marks the 34th consecutive time the Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risks of the State of Jalisco (COPRISJAL) has granted the certification, recognizing SEAPAL’s commitment to excellence.
Mayor Luis Munguía highlighted this achievement during an event in Boca de Tomatlán, calling it a source of pride for Puerto Vallarta. He credited the institution’s dedication and the hard work of its employees in ensuring a reliable water supply that safeguards public health.
Carlos Ruiz, SEAPAL’s General Director, emphasized that this certification is not only a local milestone but also strengthens Puerto Vallarta’s reputation as a top-tier tourist destination. Visitors can have full confidence in the water’s quality, knowing it meets the highest standards in Mexico. He also gratefully acknowledged the dedicated teams whose tireless efforts made this achievement possible.
SEAPAL Vallarta adhered to strict regulations, including Official Mexican Standards NOM-179-SSA1-2020, NOM-230-SSA1-2002, and NOM-127-SSA1-2021, ensuring the water meets all necessary physicochemical and bacteriological requirements for human consumption.
The certification was also renewed in Las Palmas and the Ecoterra neighborhood, demonstrating SEAPAL’s dedication to delivering high-quality water services to both urban and rural communities across the municipality.
This accomplishment underscores Puerto Vallarta’s dedication to public health and environmental responsibility, ensuring that residents and visitors alike continue to benefit from a trusted and high-quality water supply.
