Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – SEAPAL Vallarta has begun the verification process to revalidate its Water Quality Certificate, reinforcing its commitment to providing safe and reliable drinking water to the community. The evaluation, conducted in collaboration with the Jalisco State Commission Against Sanitary Risks (Coprisjal), involves inspecting 84 water infrastructure facilities across the municipality.
The process officially commenced with a meeting between SEAPAL Vallarta’s Director General, Carlos Ruiz, and Coprisjal representatives. Ruiz highlighted the significance of this certification, emphasizing that under the leadership of Mayor Luis Munguía, his administration has prioritized efforts to restore SEAPAL’s reputation for excellence.
As part of the initiative, inspectors visited the Cerro del Machete Water Treatment Plant, which plays a crucial role in supplying water to more than 100 neighborhoods in the northern part of Puerto Vallarta. They also assessed SEAPAL’s internal drinking water laboratory.
Over four days, evaluations will cover key facilities, including tanks, pumping stations, pipelines, deep wells, and filtration galleries. The inspection will focus on operational efficiency, maintenance practices, and quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of water safety.
Carlos Ruiz noted that this verification is a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to enhance SEAPAL’s service and reaffirm public trust. The process began earlier this year when he submitted the formal application and initial documentation in Guadalajara.
By undergoing this rigorous assessment, SEAPAL Vallarta continues to demonstrate its dedication to maintaining high-quality water services, ensuring residents have access to clean and safe drinking water.
