Support Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter, Change Lives

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Long after the excitement of What A Drag 2023 wanes, after the false eyelashes have been removed and gowns put away, the importance of supporting Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter remains steadfast. Even in anticipation of the next What a Drag event this spring, Casa Esperanza relies on the generosity of both private individuals and corporate sponsors to ensure that their shelter remains a devoted refuge in times of greatest need.

With their doors open every single day of the year, Casa Esperanza provides a safe haven for women and children who face violence or danger in their households. Your act of generosity can truly make a life-altering difference for those who find themselves in desperate circumstances.

Casa Esperanza is dedicated to supporting women and their children who have fallen victim to extreme gender violence, empowering them to embrace lives free from brutality. They accomplish this by offering secure shelter, alongside the necessary tools and resources for a safe and promising future.

From clothing and food provisions to comprehensive medical care, the shelter ensures that those in need are provided for. Their committed team comprises of psychologists, social workers, lawyers, teachers, and nurses, who work tirelessly in a secure environment to guide each family towards a life free from violence, far away from their aggressors.

How can you extend your support to the shelter prior to the next What a Drag event? By becoming a GEM supporter. By simply contributing a minimum of $10 per month, you can aid women and their children in escaping the clutches of brutality. As an expression of our gratitude, we would like to present you with a stunning sterling silver pendant, adorned with the logo of the Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter – an embodiment of a mother, child and baby – designed and donated by our esteemed friend, Georgia Darehshori.

Through your commitment to this modest monthly contribution, you become an agent of change in the lives of those who yearn for it the most.
