Puerto Vallarta is currently reveling in the limelight of an exceptional summer vacation season that has left all expectations in the dust. With an astonishing weekday occupancy average hovering around 80 percent and an even more impressive over 90 percent on weekends, the city has become a magnet for vacationers seeking a memorable escape.

The ongoing vacation period’s success is evident in the consistent surge of positive statistics. Weekdays have witnessed occupancy levels maintaining a steady range between 76.60 and 80.50 percent, while the latest weekends have truly shone, boasting an impressive 95 percent occupancy rate.

What’s more, there’s genuine cause for celebration as the city experiences a surge in visitors arriving via air and land transportation.

The Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport has seen an average of 14,000 travelers daily this summer, while data from the Central de Autobuses shows that compared to last year’s vacation season, which saw 49,626 visitors arriving, this year is on track to welcome an estimated 55,000 visitors, showcasing a marked increase in popularity.

Adding to the excitement, the month of August will see a total of eight international cruise ships arriving, elevating Puerto Vallarta’s already vibrant tourism landscape during this bustling vacation period.
