The Tianguis Lo de Marcos will reopen its doors for its sixth season on November 2, 2019, and will be held every Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm through April 11, 2020.
The tradition of buying and selling in temporary markets set up on a regular basis is a strong feature in Mexican culture and has a history that extends far back into the pre-Hispanic period.
Keeping with tradition, Tianguis Lo De Marcos is set in a lovely courtyard that offers a comfortable outdoor shopping and socializing experience with great food, many unique vendors, and live music playing from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Each week brings new visitors and new vendors so there is always someone or something new to see. You can preview some of the products that will be available at the Market this season on the Lo De Marcos Tianguis Facebook page.
But the Tianguis Lo De Marcos offers more than just shopping; it is a total community experience. You can meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, talk directly to the producers, buy great products, and support the local economy – all at the same time.
