Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta International Airport has already surpassed 6 million passengers in 2023, with November seeing a 3.7% increase compared to the same month last year. This positive trend is expected to continue, with the airport projected to exceed 6.5 million passengers by year’s end, setting a new record.
In November alone, Puerto Vallarta International Airport welcomed 591,400 passengers, a 3.7% uptick from the same month in 2022. The cumulative figure for the first 11 months of the year stands at an impressive 6,089,600 passengers, signifying a 9.9% year-over-year increase. As December unfolds, the airport anticipates setting a new annual record, building on last year’s impressive figure of 670,000 passengers in the same month.
Breaking down the passenger data, domestic flights to Puerto Vallarta experienced a marginal dip of 3.6% in November, with 220,000 passengers compared to 228,200 in 2022. However, the cumulative domestic passenger count for the year shows a robust 9.4% increase, reaching 2,629,400.
On the international front, Puerto Vallarta International Airport saw a notable surge in November, with 371,400 passengers on international flights, an 8.6% increase from the previous year. The year-to-date international passenger count stands at 3,460,200, marking a substantial 10.4 percent growth.
