Vallarta Botanical Garden Bird and Nature Festival, February 23

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The 2025 Vallarta Bird and Nature Festival is set for Sunday, February 23, at the Vallarta Botanical Garden. This annual event celebrates Mexico’s diverse birdlife, particularly in Puerto Vallarta, Cabo Corrientes, and Bahía de Banderas, where over 300 bird species thrive.

Located on 135 acres at 1,300 feet above sea level in bird-rich Cabo Corrientes, the Vallarta Botanical Garden offers outstanding birdwatching opportunities. More than 200 species have been recorded here by both locals and visitors.

Experience a day immersed in nature, learning, and fun at the Vallarta Botanical Garden. The festival features guided tours, children’s activities, and insightful talks on conservation. Discover the region’s most iconic bird species, their ecological roles and the efforts to protect them.

Since its opening in 2005, the Vallarta Botanical Garden has been committed to conserving endangered species and habitats. One of its key initiatives focuses on the military macaw, once disappearing from the area. Thanks to conservation efforts, including artificial nest boxes, these majestic birds have made a remarkable comeback and can now be spotted regularly at the Vallarta Botanical Garden.

The Vallarta Bird and Nature Festival aims to inspire awareness and engagement in wildlife and habitat conservation in Mexico. This year’s festival offers a range of engaging activities, including educational presentations, children’s programs and guided bird tours.
