As the sun starts to set on December 31st, thousands of people head downtown to enjoy the free live entertainment that’s performed on the El Faro (the lighthouse) stage on the Malecón. This year’s party, called El Súper Mega Fiestón de Fin de Año runs from 10 pm to 1 am with a spectacular lineup that includes Akuaman Sound System, Puerkas Band DJ Set and Tlalocan Danza Prehispánica. Music, comedy and celebration come together on the Palm Cabaret stage for a very special New Year’s Eve celebration. The fun starts at 5:30 pm with Trend recording artist Doug Varty paying tribute to Rod Stewart, followed by one of Puerto Vallarta’s funniest and most loved Divas of Song, Kim Kuzma, in ‘British Invasion’ at 7:30 pm, and ‘Stocking Stuffer,’ a holiday cabaret starring live singing queen of stage and screen, Sutton Lee Seymour at 9:30 pm.
